● 0.5 mL CSF in fluoride oxalate (grey cap, 2 mL tube).

2^nd sample from lumbar puncture requested - please refer to the CSF collection page.

Can be done on the same sample as CSF glucose.

Reference range

Adult: 1.0 - 2.1 mmol/L

Child (female): 0.6 - 2.1 mmol/L
Child (male): 0.9 - 2.2 mmol/L
