Roche Accu-chek Inform II blood glucose meters
There are approximately 1000 blood glucose tests done every day on the Accu-chek Inform II meters.
The meter gives blood glucose results in 6 seconds on 0.6 μL of blood.
The system requires a quality check every 24 hours on the wards and every Monday in lower use areas i.e. outpatient departments.
Operator ID, patient ID (hospital number), lot details of strips and quality control solutions are entered using the integral barcode scanner and forms a full audit trail. Tests as well as quality control results are downloaded into the Cobas IT 1000 database.
The device will only allow staff who have been trained and issued a valid password (barcode) to gain access to the device. In this way all interventions will be based on accurate results performed by trained staff and the quality of the result can be assured.
First time training must be in-person, please e-mail or phone to arrange.
