Basal ganglia antibodies are associated with movement disorders in adults and neuro-psychiatric manifestations in children, particularly the post-infective syndromes of Sydenham’s Chorea and PANDAS.

Referral lab quotes turnaround time of 14 days, however additional time must be allowed for packing, dispatch and delivery of sample, and return and processing of results.
