Test information

Quantification of dsDNA antibodies by immunoassay is of value for the diagnosis and monitoring of SLE.

• For initial diagnosis, please request ANA screen rather than dsDNA antibody, so that a full profile is performed.
• For monitoring of known SLE patients, please request dsDNA antibody only.

Samples that are ANA screen negative will not be analysed for dsDNA antibody.
