Samples required

Minimum of 0.5 mL CSF in plain universal container

and

Clotted blood (gold cap, 5 mL tube). A paired blood is essential for this test.

4^th CSF sample from lumbar puncture requested - please refer to the CSF collection page.

Please DO NOT use a Vacuette^® tube for CSF as the additives can make it unsuitable for analysis.

Test indications

Used to detect immunological response in CSF. Present in MS, neurosyphilis and other disorders.
