Factors affecting test performance/ results |
The presence of ketone bodies can cause artificially high results. Cyanokit (hydroxocobalamin) may cause interference with results. High homogentisic acid concentrations in urine samples lead to false results. Results should always be assessed in conjunction with the patient’s medical history, clinical examination and other findings. |
