● Lithium heparin blood (green cap, 6 mL tube), or heparinised arterial blood, as near to exposure as possible. Smaller tubes are available for paediatric samples. |

Service available during routine working hours only. For RSCH and PRH requestors, this test can be done on most of the GEM 5000 point-of-care blood gas analysers available in various locations around the Trust. Please note this test is not currently UKAS accredited. |
