● EDTA blood (purple cap/ yellow cap ring, 4 mL tube). Smaller tubes are available for paediatric samples. Or 20 mL urine in plain Universal container. High seafood diets give misleading results due to presence of a non-toxic organo-arsenic compound. Exclude seafood and fish oil nutritional supplements from diet for 5 days prior to sampling. |
