Adults: 0.9 - 2.0 g/L Paediatric:
Samples with an alpha-1 antitrypsin concentration of less than 1.2 g/L are routinely referred for alpha-1 antitrypsin phenotyping. Note that alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency may be masked in inflammation/infection, pregnancy and exogenous hormone use. |
